On Friday, a crowd gathered at the home of Tom Crawford, 63, from Carlton, to stop bailiffs from evicting him.
The Nottingham Post reported that Crawford, a cancer patient, is in a battle with building society Bradford & Bingley over his mortgage.
According to the paper, more than 500 people arrived from all over the country to ward the bailiffs off.
Last July, 200 people turned up at Crawford's house to do the same.
Crawford's cause began to pick up steam after he uploaded a video about his situation to YouTube.
Crawford claims that he has already paid off his mortgage.
He told the Nottingham Post:
I won't let them throw me out of my own house. It's amazing and extremely heartwarming to see how many people have come to support me once again.
I said the same thing last time but the English dictionary doesn't have the words to express our gratitude to people.
UKAR, which manages Bradford & Bingley, claims Crawford owes £43,000:
The lender claims its possession order is valid.
UKAR told ITV News:
Repossession is always viewed as a last resort and follows a series of forbearance options, with the aim of finding a solution that takes account of the customer's specific circumstances. Regrettably, in this instance, we have been unable to find a solution.
Bradford & Bingley has followed proper legal procedures and is now legally entitled to take possession of this property following the ruling by the Court and the Judge.
We have a valid possession order that is enforceable.
