It has now been moved out of harm's way so members of the general public are not currently at risk of attack.

The broken down vehicle at Oxford Circus has been repositioned, it is now blocking lane 1 (of 2) on Regent Street northbound at Margaret St.

I reckon the giant octopus in Oxford Circus is an Apple Store promotion for it's launch of the iCephalopod.
