27 Album Covers Recreated With Socks

A charming little tribute to a dying art form.

2. Well, it’s the work of Thom Moore, a photographer from London.

3. He tells BuzzFeed: “I’m a self confessed music geek, and I was trying to think of the most ordinary every day object that could be used as a medium to pay tribute to my favourite albums.”

4. “I just thought of socks.”

5. “I have loads of different coloured socks. The only rules I set myself were to only recreate albums I actually like, and only socks from my drawer.”

6. “My first two albums were The Velvet Underground and Is This It.”

7. “Album art is so iconic, and just seeing an image can conjure up emotions about the music held within.”

8. “When you first heard it. Where you bought it. Who helped turn you on to it.”

9. “Album art, on the whole, is starting to be relegated to a tiny thumb nail on a computer which I think is a shame.”

10. “I’ve had loads of love for what I’ve done from all over the world, and I’m just happy if it’s raised some smiles and made people dig out an album and give it another listen.”
