Monday, Oct. 26 marks the premiere of CBS's Supergirl, which stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, Superman's cousin, who is charting her own path to heroism.
Here's why the show might be for you...
You want to branch out from the brooding grittiness that so often permeates superhero television.
You enjoy goofiness and also charm.
And the idea of a main character who's full of wonder and possibility is exciting to you.
You're invested in getting more female superheroes on our screens.
That old-school WB vibe is your jam.
You are still willing to be excited about superheroes.
You like watching people figure out where they fit in the world.
You enjoy casts full of people who can sing.
They might not sing in the show, but this cast is not lacking for Broadway stars and former Glee cast members. Don't hold your breath for a musical episode, but a karaoke number and/or behind-the-scenes musical goodness don't seem out of the question as payoff for those invested.
