"That Was NOT Me": Ally Brooke Addresses That Viral TikTok Video Of A Fan Singing Off-Key To Céline Dion

    "Guys, I hate to break it to you, but that was NOT me."

    If you've spent any time on social media, you've probably come across that viral video of Céline Dion rolling up her window as a fan sang "I Surrender" slightly off-key to her:

    The video has actually been circulating online since 2020, but it resurfaced last month after someone on TikTok claimed it was Ally Brooke from Fifth Harmony singing:

    The video went viral, getting over 2 million likes and 15 million views.

    First, the video is edited — Dion did not actually roll her window up and drive away. In fact, she actually stopped the car, fist bumped the fan, and thanked her:

    Second, though it is a very funny viral moment, the girl singing is not Ally Brooke from Fifth Harmony.

    Yesterday, in a follow-up TikTok to the viral video, Ally issued an FYI saying, "Guys, I hate to break it to you, but that was not me. That's NOT me. Here, is me."

    Ally proceeded to sing her rendition of "All By Myself," even proving she could hit a high note:

    @allybrooke

    Fans were glad she finally addressed the lie:

    Fan thanking Ally for "setting the record straight"

    The original, unedited video was actually from Freida Solomon, or @musicbyfreida, a longtime fan who ran into Dion on her lunch break and decided to seize the moment.
