The 10 Best Movie Presidents Of These United States

Hollywood is SO GOOD at picking presidents. (It took all the restraint I have not to include Mark Harmon in this list.)

• Kevin Kline, Dave

  "Hail to the Chief, he's the one we all say hail to. We all say hail cause he keeps himself so clean. He's got the power, that's why he's in the shower..."

• Michael Douglas, The American President

  We fought about this at the BuzzFeed President's Day Pizza Party, but this is my list, so it earns a top spot. I actually saw this movie three times IN THEATERS (with my dad--Hi, Dad!) which I guess makes it my personal Titanic.

• Jeff Bridges, The Contender

  Someone once told me that someone told HIM that Obama said Jeff Bridges was his (Barry's) favorite movie president. So there is only a 20% chance that this is even true, but Obama's favorite automatically makes this list.

• Paul Giamatti and Stephen Dillane, John Adams

  Playing John Adams and Thomas Jefferson respectively. That TJ can smolder in breeches really says a lot. (We count HBO as a movie because it's not TV.)

• Harrison Ford, Air Force One

  "You know who I am? I'm the President of the United States." Movie presidents like to throw that one around a lot.

• Jack Lemon, James Garner, and Dan Akroyd, My Fellow Americans

  A movie for post-partisan geriatric America. (This whole movie is on YouTube, if you're bored.)

• Bill Pullman, Independence Day

  This is like the American version of the St. Crispin's Day speech. CHILLS.
