7 Movies To Look Out For This Upcoming Holiday Season

Merry Christmas to us! Santa's bringing box-office hits and LOTS OF EM.

Stuffing, pumpkin carving and decorating the tree aren't the only things to get excited for this upcoming holiday season. As usual, it seems the box-office won't be disappointing us the next few months, as several exhilarating films will be released now until Christmas. Here's a list of upcoming films we should all be getting excited to see this season:

Interstellar – Release date: November. 7

Directed by Christopher Nolan, this science fiction film stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, to name a few. Detailing a team of space travelers discovering a worm hole, the cast embarks on a crazy voyage through outer-space in order to save man-kind! So why should you see this movie? Because SPACE TRAVEL… that’s why!

The Hunger Games (Mockingjay) – Release date: November. 21

Part 1 of the last installment to the electrifying trilogy finds Katness Everdeen, played by our fav young Hollywood star, Jennifer Lawrence fighting to save Peeta and her nation after ending the games forever. With J-Law, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Donald Sutherland returning, it’s sure to be one hell of a ride.

Exodus: Gods and Kings – Release date: December. 12

An interesting take on the migration of the Hebrews led by Moses, Christian Bale makes another dramatic appearance in this action-packed film. If you know nothing about Moses or the Hebrews, you should still see this film. It’s guaranteed to have PLENTY of sword fights, and we all love that.

The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies – Release date: December. 17

The last installment of the 3-part legendary tale surrounds an Orc attack, a deadly force unleashing, a reign of terror and tons of other epic, fantasy-filled adventures! If you love seeing Elijah Wood kicking ass and taking names, you’ll surely love this film.

Into The Woods – Release date: December. 25

This Walt Disney Pictures film involves various interpretations of famous Grimm fairy tales including ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, ‘Rapunzel’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Jack and the Giant Bean Stalk’. Needless to say, this fantasy film will be one for the books. If you’re still not convinced this is a winner just picture Meryl Streep, Chris Pine, Johnny Depp and Anna Kendrick playing our favorite chilling Disney characters! That should do it.

American Sniper – Release date: December. 25

Directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Bradley Cooper. Do we need any other reasons to watch? Oh, and did I mention there will be LOTS... AND LOTS... of guns.

The Interview – Release date: December. 25

Our favorite ‘Pineapple Express’ duo is back in action! Starring James Franco and Seth Rogan, this action-comedy surrounds two entertainment journalists hired by the CIA to kill notorious Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Reasons to see this film: lots of laughing, and lots of crying... FROM LAUGHING. Not to mention we all know Rogan and Franco ALWAYS take care of business.
