I've always imagined that being an extra in a film must be pretty cool, but I'm sure there's a lot of stuff I don't know that makes the job waaaay different than expected.

So if you've ever been a movie extra, I would love to know what secrets and stories you have from your experience.

For example, maybe you were working on a shoot for over eight hours on a hot day and passed out from the heat.

Or maybe you saw another extra get fired for posting a selfie from the set.

Or perhaps you were promised free food after a grueling shoot and when the time came, the food was actually garbage.

Or maybe you were filming in the freezing cold and between takes, lead actors got blankets and you had to continue standing there in the cold.
