You may be thinking oh how very wrong I am. But just hear me out.
So, Snape. I mean, what a guy. He's... somethin'.
Snape is many things, but he is not a hero
First things first. He bullies Harry on day one.
And he doesn't just bully Harry, the rest of the trio, too.
He became Neville Longbottom's boggart because of how he treated him.
He is biased against Gryffindors and muggle-borns.
Later on, we find out that he was in love with Harry's mum, Lily Evans, had called her a mudblood and treated like a piece of rubbish. He took his friendship for granted.
He was pretty much the reason Lily and James were killed.
Being a double agent doesn't fix anything, at all. He was still working with Voldemort.
Nor does the fact that his Patronus is a doe.
Or that he said 'Always'. So what?
What Snape has done in his life was revolting.
And is not a hero.
