    Super quick (90 seconds, in their wood-fired oven) and super delicious. Keep an eye out for Nduja pizza.

    Authentic Neapolitan pizza, complete with creamy mozzarella and incredibly fresh tomatoes.

    Chewy sourdough pizzas, from a neatly small menu. The Lorena, with butternut squash, is especially nice.

    4. Voodoo Ray's.

    New York-style pizza, by the slice. They have a frozen margarita machine, and stay open very late.

    5. The Big Red Pizzeria.

    Pizza (and pasta) served from inside a converted double-decker bus. What more could you want?

    Delicious, with interesting (but not spooky) toppings - try the broccoli and spicy sausage.

    Sourdough pizza that packs a punch. You can expect to queue.

    Location: There are several locations, including Chiswick, Tottenham Court Road, Balham, Southfields and the original Brixton venue.

    You can order by the metre, which should be enough to be appealing. You can practise your Italian on the waiting staff too.

    For a twist on a Margherita, go for a Romana — with tomatoes, anchovies, black olives and mozzarella.

    Perched on the canal, Crate serves up craft beers and wonderful pizzas. Try the Sage and Truffle pizza (right) — with grated potato, sage and truffle oil.

    Perfectly portioned personal pizzas — with a Gluten Free option. Plus, Monday to Friday, a pizza (or a pasta dish) plus a beer is £8 before 7pm.

    12. Fausto Does.

    Wood-fired pizza on the go. It's hard to beat their Marg (right), but you could also try the Salt, with plenty of anchovies.

    13. Homeslice.

    By the slice, or in a 20 inch slab, Homeslice never fails to deliver. Yum yum yum.

    A gem in Central London. It's not glam, but it is quick, cheap and ever so tasty.

    Eat while watching your pizza cook in the large oven, which is the centerpiece of the room. Delicious.

    A family favourite — and great for pizza lovers with kids. Large portions, but they'll happily box up leftovers.

    Pizza made with a cornmeal crust, which means it's good for wheat-free pizza lovers. They also do specifically wheat-free and gluten-free crusts. Served by the slice, so you can mix and match.
