17 London Coffee Shops To Visit Before You Die

Bean there, done that.

Lovely service at @kaffeinelondon Eastcastle Street today. Great environment. Will definitely go back for food as it looked stunning!

2. Climpson and Sons

Climpson and Sons

Where better to drink coffee, than at a café that roasts its own beans? Climpson and Sons have a wide range (three blends and six single origin coffees), which they roast nearby. They use a selection in the café, but customers can always request certain blends they'd like to try. You can also buy their blends online.

The café is based on Broadway Market.

@climpsonandsons Thanks for brightening up my hungover mornings. x

3. Monmouth

Truly delicious coffee that needs little introduction. Monmouth's beans are chosen from all around the world, and really pack a punch.

Monmouth's roastery is based in Bermondsey and has a café attached, with two other locations in Covent Garden and Borough.

Bee line to Monmouth Coffee in the morning near Borough Market..get some lightly roasted Ethiopian. Then walk along the Thames.

Banging shot of Red Brick @StoreStEspresso, so sweet and juicy!

A coffee so good it was worth a rare tweet: thanks @tapcoffee. Living up to your mission statement there. Lovely staff too.

6. Bar Italia

A Soho institution, Bar Italia has been going since 1949. The coffee menu is short (Espresso, Cappucino, Caffelatte, Mocha, Black Coffee, White Coffee), but it knows what it's doing.

@TheBaristas Dropped by with hubby last night for coffee.Atmosphere so lovely . Italy in London. Thank you.

Quick visit to @DeptOfCoffee #CarnabyStreet. Best #coffee. Top customer service.

8. Prufrock Coffee

It'd be silly to go to Leather Lane and not stop in at Prufrock. A great range of blends, and a staff who really know what they're doing. (One of their directors is a world barista champion.) Also, their take-away cups are beyond cute.

The cafe is based near Farringdon.

i'd forgotten how good the coffee here was @PrufrockCoffee #LoveCoffee

@Shoreditchgrind Thanks for the usual sublime and transformational Monday morning coffee!

10. Caravan

Caravan roast small batches of beans in-house, and their espresso blend changes seasonally.

There are two locations Exmouth Market and King's Cross.

Best coffee ever tasted in London @CaravanExmouth #busyday

11. Nude Espresso

An artisan coffee company and micro-roastery, Nude's blends are silky smooth. You can even buy their beans online.

There are two locations: Brick Lane and Soho Square.

The #LondonCoffeeCrawl has been amazing! One of the best one I had was the Kenyan Kii from @NudeEspresso at @Curators_Coffee!So much rhubarb

12. Fernandez and Wells

Founded by a former Monmouth manager, F&W are connoisseurs. Fun Fact! Fernandez and Wells have a trademarked coffee – the Stumpy. It's like a mini flat white, served in a special glass.

There are six locations: four in Soho, Somerset House and the Strand.

Just had the best mince pie of my life from @fernandezwells in Denmark St :) So glad Twitter exists to allow me to share that ;)

13. Grind Coffee

Grind Coffee

A South-West London fave, Grind's chai latte is worth travelling for. They grind their own beans, and their Anzac biscuits are magic.

If you're not near Putney, Grind is also located in Stratford and has a roastery in Wandsworth.

A @GrindCoffeeBar 8oz flat white to start the week. #winning

I have one of these every day but when you're shattered, nothing beats a coffee from @Camdencoffee ☕️

15. Notes Roastery

Notes specialize in a lighter roast than others, resulting in a delicate, sweeter cup.

It's hard to miss Notes – whether it's at one of their four locations (King's Cross, Moorgate, Canary Wharf, Trafalgar Square) or one of their roaming coffee carts.

@NotesLondon Canary Wharf. Best damn flat white I've ever tasted! #wishidboughtthree 😋☕️

I just ate the best cookie ever from @nordicbakery and my life will never ever be the same again.

Brilliant coffee @TAMPCOFFEE - Best in Chiswick!

Climpson and Sons have three blends. An earlier version of this article said they have nine blends.
