We hope you love the products we recommend! Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales from the links on this page.

Hi! I'm the kind of person who messages my friends with products I'm obsessed with. And at work, my team and I are constantly recommending products to each other. So we thought we'd let you know what we're digging too.

For the sake of transparency, we'll always let you know if we're recommending something that we tried as a press sample/got for free.

1. A well-priced foam mattress topper that will make your bed the best place in the world.

"I BOUGHT THIS FOAM MATTRESS TOPPER and I love it, it's super cosy and makes my bed the best place in the world – it's especially nice because it makes sitting up in bed and writing or watching TV much more comfortable. It fits really well on my bed and all my regular double bed sheets fit over it just fine!" – Chelsey Pippin

2. A cheap foundation that delivers on coverage and comes in a wide range of shades.

Tolani Shoneye/ BuzzFeed

"As you can see, I have a few dark spots and I'm currently sporting a heat rash, so my skin needs all the coverage it can get. I have naturally oily skin, and when it comes to foundation, I always go for matte coverage. So when I got a press sample of the B Flawless Foundation, I was ckeptical.

"I have tried so many matte foundations and I think this might be one of my favourites, it's SO good. The colour match is amazing, which is literally unheard of when it comes to cheap foundation. I applied it using a makeup sponge and it blended so well on my skin. It's also very buildable, so you can use as much or as little as you want. I am so into this, I might even swap my normal foundation for it." – Tolani Shoneye

3. These subscription-based leggings that are totally squatproof and wash like a dream.

Ailbhe Malone/ BuzzFeed

I take a lot of mixed exercise (bouldering, pilates, yoga, and jogging) and I'm constantly on the hunt for sports leggings that don't require me to shave my legs and won't fall down when I'm halfway up a wall. I've tried most things, from USA Pro to Nike to indie brands like The Power of Greyskull, but feel like high-end brands like Sweaty Betty are out of my range. If I'm spending £££ on clothing, I want it to be on luxury fabrics, not things I sweat in.

So I was interested in Fabletics. Interested, but wary. The tricky bit is the subscriber model. As an intro offer, a VIP membership is incredible for £44 a month – you get £44 credit, huge discounts, and one-off deals (like two pairs of leggings for £24). You can navigate the site as a guest, but pricing is very variable. For example, this outfit is £87 as a regular user, £52 as a VIP member, and £26 as a one-off intro price. Even with a PR from Fabletics guiding me through the user experience by email, it's confusing.

The same pricing applies to things that aren't leggings – for example, you can see a swimsuit (third photo) has the same tiered pricing structure.

Like signing up for an Amazon Prime trial membership, you're automatically charged each month, unless you choose to skip the month. A friend of mine bought some lovely leggings from Fabletics but didn't realise she'd signed up to the monthly model. If you forget to skip it, you can carry over your credit, but there's only a certain amount of leggings you really need in your life.

Here are the good bits: The site is very easy to use: It filters according to your size (and it runs from UK4 to UK30), exercise preferences etc. And the clothes are brilliant. I chose the Lisette High-Waisted Legging and the Macey Sports Bra as an outfit for £48 total. I've worn them to an aerobics class (please see the sweaty photo above) as well as a yoga class and they've been through the washing machine and tumble drier a couple of times. I got the leggings in an M (I'm 5'2" and wear a 29" in jeans) and they fit brilliantly – they're a max compression fit, so once they're on, *they're on*, and they're thick enough to be squatproof. The sports bra is really pretty, but I wouldn't advise it for high-impact sports like running. For yoga, though, it's perfect.

Is it worth it? Definitely: Take advantage of the discount with VIP membership, but plan ahead and skip the month until you need it again. A smart idea would be to share the VIP membership with some friends who have the same body type as you – that way you can share the credits and the perks without having to sign up separately.

Fabletics sent me a discount code to try the leggings free of charge, but I wasn't obligated to feature or to positively review them.

4. An underwater phone case that will turn your phone into a waterproof camera.

"I bought this phone case off Amazon and was a bit worried as it is quite pricey for a phone case! But it was money well spent – think of it as less a phone case, more a waterproof camera you're buying. It's amazing! It's not only super practical, as it protects your phone from bumps and water damage and comes with a wristband, it also has amazing lenses. The wide-angle lens is my favourite, as it takes amazing landscape pics and is great fun to play around with. I also love being able to take photos in the sea or in the pool without worrying! If you love photography, Instagramming, or just can't bear to be parted with your phone when you're on a beach holiday, this is the case for you." – Emma Cooke

5. A scalp treatment that will instantly soothe sore, sensitive, and itchy scalps.

Ailbhe Malone/ BuzzFeed

I am on an endless quest to find something that doesn't make my scalp dry and itchy. I've tried sulphate-free shampoos, washing my hair less, not using heat tools – you name it, I've done it. What's worse is that I have a bad anxiety habit of worrying my scalp until it bleeds (sexy!). So I was desperate for something to help my scalp heal, and I was willing to pay any price (in this case, £23).

I didn't really know what I was looking for until I got chatting to a salesperson at the Aesop counter at a department store. She recommended this sage and cedar scalp treatment, and it's amazing. I've only been using it for two weeks, and it's made a huge difference. Before washing your hair, you massage in five drops to your scalp and then wash and style as normal. I also like to leave it in overnight, and wash it out in the shower the next morning.

It has a strong botanical smell, but it's not overpowering. Plus Aesop is generous with samples, so I also came away with samples of the matching shampoo and conditioner. It's been a game changer.

6. These noise-cancelling headphones that don't run out of battery and really do cancel all noise.

Natalya Lobanoba/ BuzzFeed

"The noise-cancelling is amazing, almost to the point that I wonder if I'm putting my life in jeopardy by blocking out my ability to hear so much. The sound itself is great, too, so much so that these headphones actually made my noisy morning commute on the Central line marginally tolerable. The wire is long enough that you can use them while they're charging, and most planes have USB docks at every seat so you can use them for long-haul flights. Additionally, once they're charged, they actually don't need to be recharged for a while – I get a good week's use out of them!

"I actually took these with me on a flight to Sydney and back, which totalled around 60+ hours of travelling, and they were a lifeline. I managed to sleep on my flight thanks to these, even though I was in close proximity to two crying babies throughout the flight. Of the headphones I tried, these sounded the best and were the ones I found myself always reaching for." – Natalya Lobanova

7. A leather-restoring cream that will repair and nourish your boots for winter.

"Do you own literally anything made of leather? Sofa? Boots? Nice shoes? Motorcycle leathers? Bad '70s jacket? Trenchcoat? You need Renapur! Have you EVER seen anything with so many five-star reviews? This stuff works. Feed your leather. It'll be shiny for a while and makes things sooooo supple and soft.

"It also smells amazing since it's made of beeswax, avocado oil, and jojoba oil. How do you not want this? BUY IT!" – Paul Curry

8. A tell-your-friends-good smudgeproof high street mascara.

"My colleague Flo recommended this mascara to me. No more smudging under my eyes so I look all tired and eye baggy! This stuff stays in place. It’s not waterproof, but it doesn’t run and make you look like a panda. At the end of the day, you just soak your lashes gently with water, and the mascara comes away in pieces. It’s quite unlike any other mascara I’ve used, but my eyes have never looked brighter and that makes me feel bright and rested too." – Becky Barnicoat
