In case you don't already know her, Cilla Black was a national sweetheart who ruled our screens in the '90s and early '00s with shows like Blind Date.
Viewers will also know that she's never been afraid of ~drama~ – remember that time she exposed a journalist who was trying to go undercover as a contestant?!
As a Cilla fan, I thought I knew everything about the icon. But recently I saw a video posted by Twitter user @itsmatthooper, which revealed my fave had some pretty unique eating habits.
For reasons that I don't think will ever make sense to the rest of us, Cilla used to rub an OXO cube into an opened orange...
...and then eat the cursed combo like it was no big deal.
Obviously, this revelation left people shook.
There was shock about the bizarre act:
Others pointed out the somewhat ~dramatic~ editing and production in the video:
But folks, there's even MORE to this video than just a highly unique snack. You might have also noticed that the original Tweet says the video "does not end where you expect it to" and oh boy, is that TRUE.
Cilla was raised Catholic, and traditionally, followers don't eat meat on a Friday.
So when she realised that 1) she was eating her unusual fave food on a Friday and 2) the beef OXO cubes she was using technically counted as meat, she panicked.
The obvious next step was to run to her neighbour's house and ask if she was still eligible to take Holy Communion that Sunday.
And the neighbour's answer? A solid negative.
If you don't already know, Catholics can absolve themselves of sin by going to confession before they receive Holy Communion on a Sunday. So, naturally, our Cilla hot-footed it to church.
However, even though she went with good intentions, her confession wasn't entirely truthful.
Don't worry, though – she went back to clear things up with the priest, and a couple of penances later, her soul was back on track.
I mean, WHAT a rollercoaster. People obviously had serious questions about the unbelievable footage, with some wondering whether or not the video was even real:
Others were just trying to process what they'd seen:
Personally? It's made me an even bigger fan of our quirky queen.
You can watch the entire video here if you're as fascinated as you frankly should be!
