Man And Woman Arrested In Connection To The Deaths Of 39 Chinese Nationals

    A 38-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Warrington have been arrested, following the arrest of a 25-year-old man from Northern Ireland on Wednesday.

    Essex police have arrested a 38-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman from Warrington on suspicion of conspiracy to traffic people and on suspicion of 39 counts of manslaughter, Essex police have said.

    The latest developments come off the back of raids at addresses in Cheshire, as part of the murder investigation into the deaths of 39 Chinese nationals including 31 men and 8 women.

    Their bodies were discovered on Wednesday morning in Grays, Essex.

    A 25-year-old man from Northern Ireland, identified as the driver of the vehicle, was the first arrest made on Wednesday and remains in police custody after a warrant for further detention was granted.

    The first post-mortem examinations are scheduled to begin today, Oct. 25.

    The investigation is the largest in Essex police force’s history.
