First "Terminator: Genisys" Trailer Features New And Old Arnold Schwarzenegger

No, it does not explain why the title is spelled that way. Instead, the trailer sets up the film's storyline. Basically, the Terminator timeline has been altered once again so that Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) is now a kick-ass woman who is not in need of rescue from future soldier Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney), thanks to an older Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who has been training and protecting her, because time travel and franchise reboot reasons.

Mostly, though, the trailer is filled with homages to James Cameron's first two Terminator movies — like a shot of post-Judgment Day Los Angeles.

John Connor (Jason Clarke) is at war in the future.

And the metal Terminator skeletons are looking freaky and shooting things.

And totally naked men shot from the waist up are traveling through time.

Actually, we've never really seen this from the future end of things, so that is pretty cool.

And someone is saying, "Come with me if you want to live."

And a liquid metal T-1000 (Byung-hun Lee) is dressed as a cop and turning his arms into blades and fixing a wicked gunshot to his eye.

And the same T-1000 is emerging from a blob into a full person in mere seconds and damn that still looks awesome.

And, finally, it wouldn't really be a Terminator movie without Arnold Schwarzenegger — and this time, there are two!

Old Arnold Schwarzenegger T-800 Terminator has apparently been waiting for young Arnold Schwarzenegger T-800 Terminator.

    Time is a flat circle.

We also see old Arnold Schwarzenegger T-800 regarding his metal skeleton hand once more.

Of course, once again, they are going to try to stop Judgment Day from happening.

Hey, at least Arnold says this:

Here is the first poster for the film, as well.

Terminator: Genisys is scheduled to open on July 1, 2015.
