"Aquaman" First Look Reveals A Tattooed Jason Momoa
Director Zack Snyder tweeted the first official image of Momoa as the DC Comics hero, and also teased Justice League.
Late Thursday night, Zack Snyder tweeted the first official image of Game of Thrones alum Jason Momoa as the DC Comics superhero Aquaman.
In the comics, Aquaman is known as the king of Atlantis, who rules the seas and can telepathically communicate with aquatic life.
His costume is usually some kind of skin-tight orange suit made of scales, which, in Snyder's reimagining, appears to have been largely replaced with scale-like tattoos.
Momoa is still brandishing Aquaman's trident, which traditionally imbued him with many of his powers — not unlike the hammer wielded by Marvel's royal superhero Thor.
The tagline "Unite the Seven" that appears over the image refers, of course, to the Justice League, the seven DC superheroes who have often teamed up to save humanity/the world/the universe/the very fabric of time and space itself.

vote votesThumbs-down! Give me a skin-tight bright orange suit of scales, or give me nothing!
vote votesEh, I've always found Aquaman kind of lame, and this hasn't yet convinced me otherwise.
