11 Incidents In The Music Industry That Were Not On My 2022 Bingo Card

From the BTS hiatus to the Zayn/Liam drama, I am never scoring a bingo with the way world is now.

2022 has been pretty happening for the entertainment industry, especially for the music industry. Some of the things that have happened this year, I swear to God I could have never ever guessed. Here are the top 11 things that were definitely not on my 2022 bingo card.

    1. Lil Nas X almost congratulating Zendaya over an imaginary baby.

i hate twitter because i’m sitting here about to congratulate zendaya via dm about a baby that doesn’t exist

Zendaya's fake pregnancy went trending on Twitter last week after a fan-made TikTok that looked like Zendaya's Instagram started going viral. Singer Lil Nas X seemed to have gotten on the bandwagon a little later and was quite confused about the whole pregnancy thing. Well, good to know he saved himself from some embarrassment and got the context before he actually sent that DM.

    2. Liam Payne going on Logan Paul's podcast and throwing shade on Zayn Malik.

Last month, One Direction band member, Liam Payne came on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast and said some things that his solo fans and Directioners were not thrilled to hear. Along with saying things like his single, "Strip That Down" has crossed a billion streams on Spotify (as of now, it only has 886 million streams), he made some very insensitive comments about his ex-band member, Zayn, and his upbringing.

Later, he released a half-hearted apology via Twitter:

I was saying that there will always be things we disagree on but that I will always, always be on his side. That’s family. Zayn is my brother and I will stand by him forever.

    3. Lizzo changing the lyrics of her song new song "Grrrls."

What could have been an instance of cancel culture was thankfully avoided, as Lizzo listened, learned, and took action:

    4. BTS' Kim Taehyung aka V getting knocked on V Live.

taehyung getting knocked out on vlive was not on my 2022 bingo but here we are

BTS is obviously famous for its music, choreography, and beautiful faces. There is one more thing they are incredible at — treating their fans right. BTS fans, aka Army, gets the daily dose of their idols from the various content they out.

One among them is their live streams via V Live. The stars use this platform to interact with their fans in real-time. Earlier this week, on one such live stream, V fell asleep during the live stream. It seems like the poor thing was tired from the group's intense schedule.

    5. Justin Bieber has canceled a series of shows on his latest tour after a virus caused “full paralysis” on one side of his face.

    6. Britney Spears and Madonna recreating their iconic MTV VMAs kiss at the former's wedding.

    7. Christina Aguilera performing "XXX" in a hulk body suit with a strap-on dildo during LA pride.

    8. Coldplay performing "Something Just Like This" dressed up in giant alien helmets.

Although the song was released 11 years ago, on June 13 the song had its biggest streaming day ever with 133,000 plays on Spotify after the song went viral on TikTok.

    10. Zayn posting his high note from One Direction's "You and I" on his Instagram and Louis Tomlinson liking the video.
