33 Useful Travel Products Under $20

"How did I ever travel without these?" —me the whole time I was writing this post.

    1. A travel wallet with a RFID blocking shield material to not only keep all your many important travel documents organized, but also safe and ready for you to grab when you need your ID quickly in the TSA line.

    2. Some laundry soap sheets to have on hand when you realize you've run out of clothes because you've decided to extend your trip even longer because there was no way you were going home without visiting the Eiffel Tower.

    3. A helpful checklist so you can plan out everything you need to pack and not worry about that feeling of "What am I forgetting?"

    4. A travel pouch that attaches to your bra so you can keep the most important things closest to you (such as your money, credit cards, and a copy of your passport) without fear of some pick-pocketing wizard breezing past you, barely touching you, but somehow getting away with your stuff.

    5. Or, if it's more your speed, a belt with secret pouch to help keep you from being in a ~cinch~ while traveling to a foreign country.

    6. An electronics organizer with spots for all your cords, chargers, devices, and anxiety*.

    7. A heat-resistant silicone mat so you can wrap up your hot curling iron and straightener and throw 'em in your bag as you run out the door to catch a cab to the airport because you're late...again.

    8. A mini steam iron ideal for throwing in your checked bag to have ready when you arrive at your destination and realize that the shirt you wanted to wear is wrinkled beyond belief. You'll look more put together and feel great with this.

    9. A digital luggage scale to prevent you from paying an overweight baggage fee ever again because sometimes it's hard not to overpack, OKAY!!!

    10. A set of shoe organizer bags to keep both shoes together and also make sure all the gross stuff on the bottom of those shoes doesn't get on your nice clean clothing.

    11. Silicone earplugs to reduce the pressure in your ears because sometimes you can't avoid getting an ~earful~ when the plane is taking off (and from the woman sitting next to you).

    12. Some compression socks to stop your feet and legs from swelling up as much as Violet Beauregarde did in Willy Wonka's factory.

    13. Some homeopathic jet-lag pills to help you adjust to the time change in a better way than just getting there and hoping for the best. ‾\_(ツ)_/‾

    14. A reusable water bottle with an attached pill organizer so you stay hydrated (and medicated, if applicable) the whole trip.

    15. A 27-piece first aid kit because somehow and someway you're probably going to get some sort of injury while on vacation, and it's better to be over-prepared than under.

    16. Some biodegradable hypoallergenic wipes because flying can make you feel gross and these give you the chance to freshen up when there's not a shower in sight.

    17. A jewelry organizer to keep your necklaces from becoming a tangled mess because that somehow always happens, no matter how far you travel.

    18. A foot hammock made out of memory foam because we can't all afford to fly first class, but this little gadget will make you feel like you can (even if it doesn't come with free champagne).

    19. A set of space-saver bags that work miracles when it comes to squeezing your clothes down to basically nothing so you can pack even more! Yay!

    20. A chic fanny pack that you won't feel like a tourist in when you wear it around. Plus, your shoulders will thank you at the end of the trip when they don't hurt from holding a heavy bag the whole time.

    21. A strap you can attach to your luggage to hold your carry-on or other items that are too big or awkward to pack (i.e. coat, scarf, neck pillow).

    22. A portable door lock to help you feel extra secure in your room. If triggered, this lets out a loud alarm sound which will wake you (and maybe everyone else around you) up.

    23. A dirty laundry bag to put those smelly and gross clothes in to protect them from touching your still-good, perfectly clean ones.

    24. A compact umbrella small enough to stash in your bag for when the unexpected afternoon rainstorm hits and you want to avoid looking like a drowned rat for the rest of the day.

    25. A TSA- approved toiletry bag so you can easily stash your liquids and be ready when you go through security (and not hold up the line because everyone hates that).

    26. A felt bag organizer to turn your purse or carry-on into a neatly organized place where you can find everything you're looking for instead of the black hole of disaster it usually is.

    27. A microfiber towel that's absorbent, fast drying, *and* folds up small. You'll find so many uses for this on trips – using it at the beach, pool, or even just in the hotel room.

    28. A travel toothbrush to have on hand when you're in a b-rush and need a minute to freshen up.

    29. A scarf with a secret pocket (to stash your phone and money and credit cards in) so you can walk around without a bag and still have your essentials with you.

    30. A travel pillow that will make falling asleep a breeze — the next thing you know, you'll be at your destination.

    31. An anti-blister balm for when you're in a ~pinch~ and want to make sure that you don't get blisters from walking all day.

    32. Some silicone travel bottles you can fill with the products you use at home because you really never know what the products in the hotel room are going to do to your hair.

    33. A spray hand sanitizer you'll want on ~hand~ basically your whole flight because planes are gross. Trust me, I've seen my fair share of babies (and grown adults) putting their feet over the tray table and in-flight entertainment.
