    1. A cordless Dyson vacuum that'll transform the way you clean your apartment. Yes, that's right, you'll actually want to clean your apartment just so you can take this baby out and use it more.

    Yi Yang / BuzzFeed

I would know because I've been using the cordless Dyson for almost a year now. I got it as a birthday gift from my grandma, and it's honestly one of my favorite birthday gifts ever. I used to DREAD vacuuming. I hated how long it took, how you had to keep stopping to unplug and replug in the cord, and how mundane the whole experience was. Well, not anymore. I honestly never thought I'd be the kind of person to get excited about getting a vacuum, but this baby is brilliant. I can vacuum my whole apartment in about 5 minutes (it's pretty small) without ever really stopping. Plus, it has different attachments that help me reach those hard-to-reach places (*cough, cough* under my couch) that haven't seen a vacuum in years.

Promising review: "I would have never bought this in a million years, but it was a birthday gift, and I have to say, I absolutely love this. I have waited almost 2 months to give this review to see what it was like, and I have to tell you I am so pleased. The first time I used it I had just vacuumed two days before. I used my new Dyson over they supposedly clean floors, and I filled the canister up. I have mostly Hardwood, and porcelain floors with some carpet and area rugs. It works equally well on all of them. I love it so much that I bought an extra battery charger for it so I can take it to Florida and use it in my condo rental. I am shocked that I have a very clean house, and I always have but each time I use this I'm so surprised at the dirt, hair, and dust it picks up. I would absolutely recommended this to anyone, if you can afford it and that would be the only reason that I never dreamed of buying one as it would have been too expensive for me if it wasn't for my now favorite birthday gift. Oh I have to add no cords and a long run time enough to do my house which is about 3000+ square ft. You have to love that, no cords " —tackless

Get it from Amazon for $278.99.

    2. A food processor to chop and grind up food so you can make the homemade pesto that goes great with the fish recipe you love. Wow, you really *are* a grownup.

Promising review: "This was the best birthday gift ever. I have this smart Mini-Prep Plus Processor DLC-2ABC series in Chrome from my niece Stephanie S. as a gift. She knew I was looking for a processor but unsure when I planned to get one. I really wanted a 13-cup like my sister's that I bought for her. My mom said 'I should get a smaller size for me'. Then to my surprise, I unwrapped it and here it is. I make shakes in this, I have onions chopped in here, and use this for helping make my cooking needs when needed. This is the best kitchen toy aka extra hand for me. And after clean up, I put all of them in the dishwasher." —Giggles 84

Get it from Amazon for $24.79+ (available in four colors).

    3. A wine decanter that'll make you feel like you're dining at a five star restaurant every time you use it. Also, it will make that cheap bottle you bought seem not as cheap.

Promising review: "This is one very cool decanter. It not only does the job, but it looks good doing it! We were served in a similar decanter at a 5 star restaurant in Argentina, and I started looking for one on our return. Great value for the price. And a great way to impress friends while enjoying a great bottle of wine. Like all similar decanters, it's a bit hard to clean, so you will need both flexible soft brushes and a decanter stand. I highly recommend this decanter." —Rodan

I've been an avid Kindle user for the past four years, but when I saw the new version, I knew it was time to upgrade. The main selling point is the fact that this one is waterproof. So waterproof, in fact, that it can be in up to 2 meters of fresh water for more than 60 minutes. Plus, it's lighter, has more storage, and the battery last for WEEKS. I took this on vacation with me and was so impressed. I was able to sit on the ledge in the pool and read without worrying about getting the device wet. And I even put it in the water to test, and it still works perfectly. Plus, I used it every day and didn't have to charge it the whole time I was on the trip.

Promising review: "I had always wanted this mixer. I used the hand mixer for years and was pleased. However, there is NOTHING better or even equal to this mixer. It is very heavy since the body of the mixer is cast iron, but that makes this mixer sturdier. I know that it won't be going anywhere. I love the smoothness of the action of the mixer and the simplicity of its use. It is very quiet, so one can converse with someone while it's running without having to yell. And the colors it comes in should satisfy everyone. It will fit into every kitchen. I'm in mixer heaven!" —Mathlady

I was able to fit a large amount of items, the laundry bag was a lifesaver, the compression section really made everything fit better, and it looks stylish too. The fact that it has a lifetime guarantee also helps. Obviously $200+ can be a huge purchase for some people, but it's a good investment for my lifestyle. Promising review: "I am a guy not too fond of cooking and cleaning up. I like working out and eating clean. I bought the 6-quart last weekend, and I can say my life is now on a different trajectory because of this product. Cooking and cleaning up are now a breeze. It cooks amazing foods. (I suggest getting a recipe book.) I can cook in large batches for the whole week without too much fuss. The best part is cleaning up. Due to the deep bowl, it doesn't splatter everywhere when cooking. I use it to sauté a lot. It has replaced my electric stove and even my microwave. I just ordered the nonstick bowl for it as the food seems to stick to the stainless steel bowl when searing or sautéing. It's an amazing product." —TK

This new Goodful AeroGarden changed that for me. I made the best caprese salad I have ever eaten last week with some fresh basil from my garden. Promising review: "I've been on the hunt for a set of pots and pans with no chemicals and easy cleanup. I've purchased several singular items (a fry pan here, a quart pot there) wanting to try different brands before sinking my money into the large set. Unfortunately, I haven't been pleased with any of their 'nonstick' durability over time. I decided to go out on a limb and purchase this set since the price was right and I liked the description of the product. So far, I love this set! They are sturdy, aesthetically pleasing, and cleanup is super easy. I'm really happy with this purchase, and I'm hoping this is the last set I have to buy for a long time." —TukeeTracy

    13. A pair of anti-UV glare glasses because you've finally accepted that staring at a screen all day is not good for your eyes.,

Promising review: "I love these glasses. They have helped so much with light sensitivity. Of course, if you are able to get a real prescription for light sensitivity glasses I would look into it because these can only do so much. But for fluorescent lighting, they do the job. Along with computer lights and screen lighting. They smug very easily, but I have had no problems with scratches. My roommate kept stealing mine, so we got him a pair for his birthday, and he loves them. They really help when he is playing video games and doing long hours on the computer for work." —HaleyM

It cooks beautiful and you can pretty much put anything in there. Chicken, french fries, steak, roast, you name it; and all without the grease. You can even cook hot dogs; not the most healthy but they come out like you cooked them on the grill. Reheating food comes out much better in this air fryer than in a microwave. It handles all sorts of veggies and fruits, it blends in 15-30 seconds, it does NOT leak, as some reported, and it is easy to clean as long as you put the blade component and the carafe to soak soon after using. The recipe books are full of great ideas. My ONLY complaint is that it is not as quiet as I would like and I feel badly for our neighboring apartment dwellers as I make my shakes at 6:30am.
