A Group Of White People Had To Correctly Match Asian Food And Asian People With Their Origin Country

"I feel weird about doing this."

Cut Video made this after learning that "there are studies that show white people can tell the difference between Asian food but not Asian people." They decided to put that theory to the test.

A group was first asked to match five Asian dishes with the right country.

And they actually did a pretty good job!

In fact, they all nailed it.

But they didn't know that next they would be asked to label Asian people!

At first, everyone was a little uncomfortable...

But they had to dive right in.

The director then asked, "Yeah, but what is that look?"

Apparently that look has something to do with being smiley.

This woman's look reminded this guy of a Thai masseuse he had met once in Thailand.

But this woman's look wasn't evocative of anything for the couple labeling. She was given China because it was the last country left and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In the end, no one did that well. Most of them got one out of five correct.

Even this Asian man only got a couple right. But he was not surprised because "this is all completely arbitrary and random."

And when the tables were turned, the group of Asian people who had been mislabeled moments earlier had no idea how to label the others.

By the end of the whole thing, everyone realized they were equally bad at guessing ethnicity and who cares anyway!
