Krave The Adventure Bus - School Bus To Skoolie Home

We converted a 2002 school bus into a home for us and our kitties.

In August of 2014, we decided to pull the trigger and buy a full size school bus.

Using re-claimed barn wood, appliances meant for boats, some skill, a lot of luck mixed with determination and a ton of help & support from our friends and family, we converted the bus into a home complete with all of the comforts of home in 2.5 years.

What good is a school bus without a roof deck?

Our roof deck is made out an aluminum ladder, some homemade steel feet, and cedar.

We even have a garage! Or something like it.

The under-bus storage carries the condensed version of our two bay garage/workshop.

That's a Kitchen for Cooking

We used bar top epoxy for the counter top and oiled the cabinets to have a sleek top with a raw and natural surrounding.

Office with a View

All packed up

Our good friend and talented photographer came by to capture us with the bus all packed up and ready for adventure. Our bed is in the back with storage below, shower is on the passenger side (frosted door) and the rest of the bathroom (potty) is on the driver's side.Kristin's photography Instagram: KristinStudio

Krave The Adventure Bus

We do most of our sharing on Instagram under the name KraveTheAdventureBus (Kristin + Dave, my lovely sister came up with that gem). We have hopes to share a blog or do videos some day, but right now we are really enjoying spending most of our time living in the bus and getting out and adventuring.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our adventure!

Dave, Kristin, Archie & Jack

And of course, a picture of our cats (babies) for the road -
