1. Check out Tiong Bahru

Take the road less travelled and head over to Tiong Bahru in Singapore. Located just west of Chinatown, Tiong Bahru is a breath of fresh air in Singapore. This low-rise area is a laid-back community with local shops, cafes, and souvenir shops filled with curiosities.

2. Sample some street food at Hawker stores

Hawker stores are a staple in Singapore. You can't say you have visited the country without having a taste of Singaporean Hawker food. Amongst the many dishes that you should try at Hawker centers in the country are mixed rice, kueh tu tu or steamed rice cake, Peranakan food which is a mixture of Chinese and Malay palettes. The best thing about eating at Hawker centers is it's ultra-affordable!

3. Cycle around the City

Singapore is a cycle friendly city with tons of sidewalks and bike lanes. It is also a relatively small country, you can literally go anywhere with just a bicycle. If you think it's too far, you can always take a train along with your bike or scooter. There are tons of cycling routes that you can take as well as shops that allow tourists to rent bicycles.

4. Ride the Singapore Flyer

If you loved the cable car ride, then the Singapore Flyer would be something you're interested in. The Singapore Flyer was once considered as the tallest ferris wheel in the world with a height of 165 meters (541 feet). With the Singapore Flyer, you can get a real good view of the city, whether it's at night or during the day.

5. Ride a cable car to Sentosa

If you need a lift from the main Harbour Front, a cable car would get you there instantly all the way up to Mt. Faber. Singapore's cable car is a gondola lift that takes you up as high as 93 meters (300 ft) above sea level. You would get a good view of the city and post an instagram-worthy photo of it. If you're afraid of heights, then you are surely missing out on this amazing ride to Sentosa!
