This week Nick Jonas bought a big-boy estate, Matt Damon slashed the price on his Miami mansion and Ricky Martin is selling a place in New York.
Nick Jonas Heads To Hollywood
When the Jonas Brothers announced that they were breaking up the fraternal band in order for the fellas to do their own individual things, we could have seen this coming: Nick Jonas buys himself his own abode.
After initiating the band’s breakup, the youngest Jonas closed on a $3.2 million home in Los Angeles. The purchase took place just after the brothers discussed their decision to call it quits on “Good Morning America” and after he completed a run on Broadway in the play “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”
But by trading east for west, the Jersey native is definitely getting a fresh start, and some nice Tinsel Town scenery. Jonas’ new Spanish-style home, built in 1938 but renovated to perfection, is in Hollywood Hills. The stucco home has 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms in a manageable 2,305 square feet of living space. The home boasts a gourmet kitchen, steam shower and state of the art security so Jonas can look out over the Pacific Ocean and city lights with peace of mind.
Perhaps Jonas is trying to make it in real estate without really trying, too. His home should increase in its worth; current Hollywood Hills home values are increasing 21 percent year-over-year on average.

Matt Damon Goes Good Buyer Hunting For His Miami Home
Just like Cher, Billy Joel, Rosie O’Donnell and a slew of other celebrities who have either sold or are looking to sell their Miami area homes, Matt Damon wants to move along.
The Oscar-winning screenwriter and actor is so eager to get a sale on his sprawling Miami abode that he’s dropped the price $1 million plus a little extra. By taking the list price from $20M down to $18.999, Damon hopes to accelerate the sale process on the two-parcel property he bought back in 2005 for a combined $14.6 million. His near $20 million price tag is pricey, but out of the 3,401 homes for sale in Miami Beach, his isn't near the most expensive (which rings in at $40 million).
Located on N. Bay Road where his neighbors have been the likes of Alex Rodriguez, Ricky Martin and Shakira, Damon’s Mediterranean-style home is a whopping 12,705 square feet. The two lots combine for just about a half an acre and includes 1,750 feet of waterfront access on Biscayne Bay.
The two-story main house boasts 7 bedrooms, 10 baths, a home theater, gourmet kitchen, and master suite with private, ocean-facing terrace. There’s also a pool house with full kitchen and rooftop terrace, as well as a guesthouse.
Damon, his wife and four kids are currently ensconced in a $15 million L.A. area home he bought in 2012 near his buddy Ben Affleck in Pacific Palisades.
Ricky Martin Saying Bye Bye To Luxury Bond Street Abode
The eminently handsome and ubiquitously entertaining Ricky Martin no longer wants the luxury condo he bought at 40 Bond Street in New York City, so it’s on the market for $8.3 million.
The Puerto Rican pop star was an original buyer in the swanky-cool Bond Street building when units for the condo building first came on the market in 2007. However, with twin sons and his partner needing more family-friendly quarters, Martin opted for a bigger place on the Upper East Side. Last year, Martin paid $5.9 million for a 3,147-square foot apartment across from a big park, making the Bond Street unit dispensable.
Martin’s home is a 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom unit with 2,637 square feet of living space. High ceilings further enhance the 11-foot-high windows in the living room. “Austrian smoked oak” floors extend from the living space into the kitchen and master suite. On-site amenities include a 24/7 doormen and gym.
Martin is no stranger to real estate wheeling and dealing, or other kinds of high-octane celebrity moves. In addition to selling several Miami area luxury homes in the past few years, Martin has been busy appearing on Broadway in “Evita,” and is now hawking his kids’ book across the country.

Pretzel Logic Leads To Amish-Country Farm Sale
Unless you’ve never been to an airport or a mall, you’ve smelled the sweet vapors from Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel kiosks. Now the founders of that savory franchise are looking to part with a massive farm and conference complex in Lancaster, PA.
Jonas and Anne Beiler, founders of Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel company, are set to offer their collection of private homes, commercial/industrial space and land via auction, hoping to quickly dispense of a nice chunk of Amish-country property about an hour west of Philadelphia.
The couple, which founded Auntie Anne’s in 1988 and later sold the company to dedicate themselves to their family counseling service, are moving to Texas to be near their daughter.
The entire property, known as Houston Run and located at 863 Brackbill Rd, Gap, PA 17527, will be on the auction block, including a family center on 94 acres that holds meeting rooms, medical offices and a cafe.
The property also includes undeveloped land situated near a new Urban Outfitters distribution center, which could bring new interest to the 106,000 square feet of commercial space included in the Beilers’ auction items. The opening bid is $1.9 million for an auction slated for Dec. 5.
In addition, the Beilers are seeking bids on their custom-built residence. The 5,400-square-foot home has 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and sits on 2.78 acres.
A second 10.47-acre development parcel adjacent to the home will also be auctioned separately. The parcel could be developed or used as a privacy buffer for the main residence.
On Dec. 11, an open-cry auction will be held for a second private home along with a 53,000-square-foot professional building. This auction will also include the 6,000-square-foot Ellmaker House, which dates to 1820 and has been remodeled into offices and more conference space.
