Interesting to note that while solar power is an emerging industry, and as such requires subsidies in order to get running, and choices in technology might not work out that well (solyndra was using a kind of solar cell that was not advancing as quickly as other solar technologies), all of which makes for an understandable failure, the oil companies are the most profitable companies in the history of money, and yet STILL get tax breaks, STILL get subsidies, and are STILL allowed to get away with not paying their royalties to the American TAXPAYER.
