Santorum: Obama "A Snob" For Wanting All Americans To Go To College
“I understand why he wants you to go to college — he wants to remake you in his image.”
TROY, Michigan—Rick Santorum criticized President Barack Obama’s call for all Americans to go to college in a speech to the Americans For Prosperity Michigan Forum.
“President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob,” Santorum said, to raucous applause from the audience.
An indignant Santorum continued:
“There are good decent men and women, who go out everyday to put their skills to test that aren’t taught by some liberal college professor trying to indoctrinate them. I understand why he wants you to go to college — he wants to remake you in his image. I want to create jobs so people can remake their children into their image, not his.”

He went to college… he knows that’s public knowledge, right? Why is it that getting an education based on science, research and history is considered “Liberal”? Why are facts “liberal”?

bxmedic19 a year agoThis is not even true. As of late, Obama has been saying that he doesnt want to just increase funding to 4 year colleges. He also wants to help out community colleges, trade schools, and job training programs. Because he knows that not all jobs come out of colleges. It doesnt matter though. This ass hole will say what ever bull shit to these republican voters and they will believe it and won’t question it because they’re ignorant fools themselves.

Socal Trish a year agoBeing taught to think critically is a threat to the rich. Education is power, and those at the top don’t want anyone else to have it, therefore, convincing the uneducated masses that they’re better off “in their proper place” is the Republicans’ way of keeping them there, where they won’t compete with the rich. It’s a trap, you foolish Santorum-loving lemmings.

carmenf2 a year agoOkay, all you smart college people. Of course, Obama wants everyone to go to college. He doesn’t respect the guy who fixes his car, the man who builds his deck, his barber, the grocery store checkout lady, the woman who cleans his office. And evidently, neither do most commenters here. You don’t need to spend four years of your life and thousands of dollars to do these things. Some people, quite a few, just want to live their lives and earn an honest dollar. And, btw, I have a BS in Chemical Engineering and I write for a living at a Fortune Top 50 company. I’d like to see you brainiacs achieve that.
