Rendell Says His Grandson "Looks Like An Old Chinese Man"

CONCORD, N.C. — Outspoken former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell joked about his first grandson, Dean, today at a breakfast for the Maryland delegation to the Democratic National Convention.

“I’m not a wuss, so I can tell ya, he looks like an old Chinese man to me,” Rendell said.

Rendell, a successful and blunt former mayor, has been an occasionally off-message ally to President Obama, whose case he made forcefully in advance of the opening of the Democratic National Convention today.
