Romney is losing and will lose. He has to pretend like he has momentum, he doesn’t, otherwise donors and attendees at events would dry up.

How Biden can become our next president, courtesy the 12th amendment: Romney and Obama tie in the Electoral College. The House of Representatives, which gets 50 votes for one or the other candidate (one per state, not one per representative) deadlocks. The Democratic Senate (god do I hope the Senate stays blue) selects Biden. BLAMMO! President Biden takes all on a booze cruise to the Bahamas.

The 3 portion of the Romney plan is pretty much a given. He’s definitely taking IN and NC, and I’d be incredibly surprised if he didn’t win VA. Hell, you can probably pencil in FL for him too. But after that, the odds are stacked against him. In a big way. Obama is taking the vast majority of the 1 section of the Romney path, and if I were a betting man - which I am - I’d put my money on him taking Ohio. Yeah, Ohio is “close,” but Obama hasn’t trailed there yet, and their ground game in that state is something to behold. I can understand why the Romney campaign would be all, “we’re winning.” What else do you expect them to do? Inexplicable to me is to read comments by his supporters that are so gung-ho and self assured of a Romney victory (some even call for a landslide, how’s that for delusional?), that one wonders if they get the basic precepts of math. Then again, given some of the mouth breathers that support the GOP, it wouldn’t be too surprising if that were the case.

Romney doesn’t have to run the table…he doesn’t even have to win Ohio if he wins 3 of the wildcard states + the others.
