Okay, yes this guy is a jackass—he sounds like he's at a Vegas craps table trying to sound like a character he saw in a bad movie. But he's got balls, and doing this was totally effin' AWESOME. You might look for years trying to find a cop who will publicly admit the truth that cops everywhere knowingly break the law and endanger others like this on a regular basis—the standard line is always something like “hey, you don't know what we're doing and have no right to judge whether it's legitimate because, uh, I'm a cop”. I LOVED watching this cop's deer-in-the-headlights reaction; he knows he was wrong and he knows he was caught. Now I want to hear a bunch of other cops say that this was just one rare bad example, so I can once again confirm my belief that a significant percentage of cops lie and break the law more, and more often, than a good many of the criminals they go after. And they do it because they know that they are essentially immune from being accused of breaking laws the rest of us generally abide by, because other cops (the “good” ones) will do everything they can to ignore infractions committed by a brother law enforcement officer. And no, I've never been arrested or jailed, and my last speeding ticket was 4 years ago and totally deserved. It's the cops in my extended family, and their cop buddies, that first made me look around and begin to realize that tons of cops are not much more than under-educated thrill seekers with no more of a sense of justice or desire to do right than your average street thug. So thanks, chura46—you made my day with this ballsy video.
