It has been raining in northeast Australia since December, and residents are on alert for snakes and other alarming animals coming into their homes in search of dry land. “A lady rang up this morning and said she had a snake in her bathroom. I said, 'Well, I've got a crocodile in mine,'” a wildlife volunteer said. “We've had wallabies, curlews, snakes and flying foxes, and that's just this morning.”
