I used to pull a reverse scam like this when I was 16 and worked at Burger King: every “combo meal” would include, if ordered at medium/regular size, a soda that was rung up in the amount of $1.00, no tax- these sodas did not appear on any of the display screens and were prepared for the order by me in the drive-thru…so, I would just remember customers' orders, upcharge them a dollar for each drink I didn't ring up (but did deliver) and make a tally mark on a sheet of paper for every extra dollar in my register at the end of the night, which I would then pocket whilst counting the register before leaving. Voila! An extra 50 bucks or so at the end of each day.
