Daft Punk’s fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, dropped this past weekend to critical acclaim. But of course, the band couldn’t have made it happen without some help from the past.

For instance, take their newest song, Contact. Go listen to that, and then come back and listen to this 1981 hit by Australian band The Sherbs, entitled “We Ride Tonight.”
