First-rate article on Mr. Lehrer—one of the best things I’ve read on Buzzfeed. I don’t think all of Mr. Lehrer’s songs deserve to be characterized as “pitch black.” It’s just that Satire is very threatening to younger generations who don’t understand ironic distance in art. Lehrer’s stuff is still hilarious today to anyone who has a brain.
