How To Make Homemade Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

Because there is nothing more delicious than fruit smothered in chocolate.

1. Step 1: Wash the Strawberries

Because no one likes a dirty strawberry.

2. Step 2: Lay Out the Strawberries

Lay out the strawberries on a sheet pan lined with paper towels. Make sure they are really dry because otherwise the chocolate won't stick as well!

3. Step 3: Melt the Chocolate

Use a double boiler (put a heat proof bowl over a pot of boiling water) OR do it in the microwave (check it every 30 seconds so it doesn't burn).

4. Step 4: Remove from Heat and Stir

Boom. Melted Chocolate. Give it a quick stir!

5. Step 5: Dunking Time

If you can, find strawberries with long stems to make dipping easier. Cover about 3/4 of the strawberry with chocolate. Let it drip for a few seconds so there is an even layer of chocolate left.

6. Step 6: Add-ons

If you really want to kick it up a notch...add nuts or crushed candy while the chocolate is still wet! Roll the strawberry in the crushed nuts evenly.

7. Step 7: Drizzle the Chocolate

This step is OPTIONAL, but really- it looks pretty when you do this. Pour some melted white chocolate into a plastic bag. Snip the corner of the bag and drizzle over the strawberries (you can do this one by one or in bigger batches).

8. Step 8: Refrigerate

Lay the strawberries out on a pan (don't let them touch!) and refrigerate until the chocolate sets.

9. Step 9: EAT!

We won't judge if you eat the whole pan of chocolate covered strawberries. You gotta do what you gotta do.
