Either way, this clip from last night’s “MTV Battle of the Exes” definitely comes across as 100% racist. I hope everyone involved is ashamed of themselves.
The context: Emily and her friend decided it would be funny to dress up as Paula and Ty, who were blatantly hooking up on the show. For what its worth, Emily offered to dress as Ty because she “knew him,” and she did, well: they dated while both on “The Real World: D.C.” You can watch the entire episode at MTV and decide if the context actually helps or hurts the situation for yourself.

deborahm12 a year agoIf you watched the whole show you would know she is not racist. she was jealous ,and just putting on a skit to make him see how ridiculus he and Paula look making out all of the time like they were. She is his teammate and they
might have to go up against Paula in the dome. So she felt like he is too close to another team and might not want to put them into the dome when it is needed. She never thought of it as being black face. -
