How To Disable Google’s New “Personal” Search Results

Last night (most likely while you were sleeping) Google rolled out its new “Personal Search” feature. Do you loathe it as much as I do?

Duh, Google: I know I post a lot of Ryan Gosling photos. If I already had what I was looking for, wouldn’t be googling in the first place…

Luckily, as Lifehacker points out, it’s quite easy to turn off.

1.

Step one: At the top right corner of your google search screen, click the “Settings” wheel and select “Search Settings.”

2.

Step two: Scroll down to the “Personal Results” section and select “Do not use personal results.”

3.

Step three: Take a big sigh of relief and resume googling as usual.
