ally_b 9 months agoI live in Alabama and they took away the Planned Parenthood in my city. I don’t have healthcare but I do have endometriosis, and every month I get to suffer because I can’t afford to get the help I need. Women NEED Planned Parenthood for so much more than “abortions” and it’s simply pathetic that we are still arguing about it in this day and age!

Because 9 months ago“These are the kinds of things I don’t want to discuss with my employer… that’s between me and my doctor.” Well, you and your doctor, and the federal government, apparently. There’s a better way: Allow people to buy their own insurance with before-tax dollars, and employers will gladly give you a raise in order to get out of the health-insurance business. If you lose your job, you keep your insurance. If you’re poor, you can get government-paid health care until you get back on your feet. Elizabeth, I look forward to the day when you and I can buy whatever health care we want. But let’s keep Romney and Obama, and our employers, out of it.
