"Boy Meets World" Reboot In Early Talks At The Disney Channel
Starring Cory and Topanga as the parents in Girl Meets World. What?
TV Line has the details:
The Disney Channel is in the early stages of developing a Boy Meets World sequel series called Girl Meets World, TVLine has learned exclusively. Sources say that the cable network is trying to land original series stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel to revisit their roles of sweethearts Cory and Topanga, who married before their ABC sitcom ended its seven-season run. The new series would center on their preteen daughter.
A few concerns immediately come to mind:
• Whoa, whoa, whoa there: GIRL Meets World?
• Will said girl have an Uncle Shawn?
• How about an Uncle Eric?
• What ever happened to Minkus?
• Will the Disney Channel ruin the series by turning it into Hannah Montana Part 2?
• And — most importantly — Will Mr. Feeny be there?!

katyleannem 7 months agoi think it could be successful if it’s written like good luck, charlie. i’m not saying that show is perfect, but with what’s on disney channel these days, that’s the closest to the original sitcoms that were aired back in the day. at least in my opinion.
