So be big, girl, more power to ya. We love her just the way she is, which is exactly as SHE wants to be and that’s the truth that’s most important. She’s happy. So let her be big and beautiful. yvettegallardod 2 months agoThe point that should be raised is that women are CONSTANTLY being judged on their appearance. Adele is a talented singer, not a model— her physical weight has zero bearing on her musical talents. Rivers met Adele at the Oscars where she was up for an Academy Award (then won) and all she could say about her was an insult about her weight. It’s simply counter-productive to women as a group. Most men are not subjected to this. Male musical legends are not subjected to this. It’s a double standard and THAT is what’s getting old. We need to get over the weight thing because little girls hear all this bullshit and then starve themselves to death, believing that they are always destined to be second class citizens because that is what we- everyone- are constantly showing them by judging and putting down women.

anht 2 months agoAdele is completely secure with her weight and feels completely comfortable in her own skin, so i think people could shut the eff up now. i swear for every little comments/jokes against her, she has a 10000 army defending her.
i wonder why nobody defends skinny people when they get called “sticks”, “skeleton”, “anorexic”, “sick”.
don’t take me wrong, i don’t like this Joan woman, and i love Adele (as an artist not as a person), but this whole internet is too goddamn sensitive when it comes to the topic of her weight.
as one of you said, it’s her talent that matters. point blank and period. now shut up so i can listen to rolling in the deep. -

Adele is someone who has a great voice, is beautiful, and whether or not shes overweight , she doesnt dress like a slut! Thats the kind of role model i’d want for my child.

jeffl24 2 months agoI’m sure Adeles pay check sure makes up for comments made by people like Joan Rivers. ALL celebrities have to put up with critique, i’d still swap places with them. Let’s not feel too sorry.
On another note, i think the well of british comedic talent must be running a little bit dry for this guy (Adam Hills) to be filling prime time air space.
