    Stolen Art For High Fashion?

Italian Fashion Line, Laura Biagiotti, accused of using stolen art in their Junior Collections.

Laura Biagiotti is a high fashion brand based in Italy. They have some impressive collections like these:

They also have their own Junior Collections, called Laura Biagiotti Dolls. Here are some of the designs:

But hey! I remember seeing these somewhere else..........

Ah, there it is. Looks familiar?

This one is from Etsy.com, belonging to Laura Kay, a fashion illustrator going by the name DiarySketches.

Recently, she posted this on her Instagram:

She felt that Laura Biagiotti had used her art without her permission - which equalizes to stealing.

Yes, there is a few modification done to the design used by Laura Biagiotti, but the resemblance is uncanny.

Do you think Laura Kay is overreacting? Judge for yourselves:

Quoting from Laura Kay's Instagram post:

I am heartbroken @laurabiagiottiofficial stole my original copyrighted artwork and placed it all over their f/w 14.15 junior collection!! I am sick watching VP of the brand @Lavibiagiotti proudly pose before press and take credit for 'HER' new creative collection that I created! Where is their conscious?!!! I worked so bloodly to create my unique characters. I have not slept a normal night since I launched DiarySkethes. Why could they not have contacted me?! I would have been happy to work with them! Please for the sake of justic repost this tagged to @laurabiagiottiofficial and comment @laurabiagiottiofficial #stolenart #noshame. Please if you can email them as well demanding justice In hope to be credited and compensated for my work that they have stolen...and now I cry

Now, now, isn't this a copyright violation?
