I’m 16 and a lot of this stuff happens, even in my very affluent area with very attentive parents. But I figure that the kids like these (most of them…) just better my chances of getting in to a college where I can get the hell away from them :)

I live in dc, and everyone’s first reaction was that it was a terrorist attack. After all, that seemed way more likely than an earthquake. Plus, no one knew what to do during an earthquake. It was more confusion than fear, I think.
