The once-great Nightline—the last non-PBS bastion of intelligent, traditional, real journalism on broadcast television in the US—has fallen almost as low as a TV program can go (there's still Maury). Worse: It's now more of a ratings contender than it ever was under Koppel. And now you know why our politicians are such a joke. Hint: They didn't appoint themselves.
