Most of this is false. The packaging specifically states you can get the flu from the live virus vaccine, and it specifically states to NOT give either vaccine to pregnant women, the very elderly, and the very young. The CDC website is not a reliable source of information on flu vaccine safety—only the manufacturer can tell you who shouldn’t and shouldn’t get the shot. Vitamin C doesn’t prevent a cold, vitamin D does. Vitamin C is to recover faster. There are studies on pubmed about vitamin C, vitamin D, and zinc in relation to influenza. Mayo clinic is also not a reliable source of information as they only report on studies they themselves do and not all studies that exist. The author has obviously never read any of these studies, and also keeps exchanging influenza for “the cold”. Well, which is it? Oops. More research next time.
