During the ongoing investigations into FIFA, they have had the world cup football confiscated by Mr Obama but promptly replaced with another ball donated by Mr Putin.

Barack Obama confiscates world cup football from Sepp Blatter. They've finally been rumbled by the FBI and face charges of corruption. It's probably been a long time coming. President Barack Obama was sent in personally to reprimand Sepp Blatter and confiscate the football used to play the world cup matches.

However, not everyone is happy. Moscow was quick to respond by sending President Putin to the support of Herr Blatter and handed him a brand new ball and told him to take no notice of that big bully! Mr Putin added that he has a cupboard full of balls that Mr Blatter is welcome to at anytime. Mr Blatter said he was very pleased with the support that Mr Putin offered him and added that the 2020 World Cup Finals could now be held in Russia. He was also asked if he would be resigning, but declined to answer and walked away with his shiny new ball tucked safely under his arm.

As the dust settles from the dawn raid of the hotel in Switzerland where the FIFA members were encamped, news is spreading that if the corruption charges are proved correct, then all previous world cup finals going back to 1970 should be null and void!

This would mean the official holders of the world cup would be England as they were the last team to win it prior to 1970!!
