Exploring Hotels In Midtown Manhattan, NYC

As one of the planet’s most booked tourism destinations, The Big Apple has no shortage of hotels putting up vacationers, including lot’s of historic establishments fusing a lively past with neoteric benefits. Visitors familiar with one of these NYC hotels tend to stay at one of these amazing lodgings while staying in close walking distance of lots of others, including the Statue of Liberty, Bryant Park, and The Metropolitan Opera. Okay, because I’m wierd, I need to talk about the record of older hotels located near midtown Manhattan, because it has always captured my attention. The local Murray Hill area has the feel of a bygone time where residents did business in their own little skyscraper lofts, giving off a metro setting (something like Bioshock Infinite meets Americana here) that was definitely worlds apart from today’s noise and chatter. And the fact that the Tudor City Hotel has gone through sooo many versions at this moment in history begs a good question, what's the story with Midtown Manhattan hotels, at this locale? I have chosen to keep up a blog digging deeper into New York City hotels and really diving into the midtown east neighborhood for a start, so grip on tight as I travel and stay at these lodgings to report on the inside scoop that represents midtown Manhattan. First place on the way, the recently found Westgate New York City, which as I’ve come to realize, actually used to be the Tudor Hotel before it was bought by Hilton and then rebranded into the Hilton New York Grand Central ...or... Hilton East Manhattan, depending largely on who you chat with. During Christmas, my family and I got the chance to sleep at one of the most recommended inconically historic hotels in Midtown Manhattan – the Westgate New York City Hotel. The Westgate Hotel is an offshoot of the old once timeshare now hotel entity called Westgate Resorts, dating way back to the early 70s out of Orlando Florida. The original Westgate property was created back in 1982 under the title of Westgate Vacation Villas, which is where we had our first encounter with their old world hospitality and top notch service oh so many getaways ago. Thnx for reading on, Cheers!
