Movie Buzz It's funny, because I made the same face when I saw this poster. Opening in theaters on December 17, 2010, the new movie will be directed by Raja Gosnell.

Hey, at least this one sorta looks like the original… something that cant be said for 98% of the “cartoon” CG crap out there.
So disappointing…
What I'd like to see is the director who has the balls to reimagine the smurf mythos through a gritty war movie, complete with shaky documentary camera, some forced occult cannibalism amongst POW's at Gargamel's, and yes, Smurfette fulfilling her needs like any adult smurf woman. (Surprise, though, it's PAINTER Smurf knocking that out! Hefty's actually in the closet. Overcompensates with those barbells).
Look, if nothing else, this will get us some cool cross-promotional blue milkshakes. That in turn will give junior high students (okay, and us Buzzfeed readers) some nice material for crude smurf jokes.

SMURF = Sinister Minds Under Russian Forces. Ok, it was funnier when I made that up at age 8.
Hollywood will not be satisfied until my entire childhood has been uprooted, raped, pillaged, burned, artificially sweetened, plasticized, repackaged, and sold back to me at 1,000 times the original cost.
I feel like my childhood is stalking me. It's over, childhood! I've moved on!
Oh god no. We spent so much time getting rid of this blue vermin years ago.
i can haz smurf video game please?
will it include the smurf village collectively having their way with smurfette-the only female?
Raja Gosnel directed movies…
Beverly Hills Chihuahua
Yours, Mine and Ours
Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed
Scooby-Doo
Big Momma's House
Never Been Kissed
Home Alone 3 We can only hope it lives up to the excellence of Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
wow! this guy has a really amazing track record! just look at the great films he has directed!
I wish Hollywood would stop smurfing all over my childhood memories.
It looks exactly like a Smurf, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. The Smurfs rule all your lesser 80s cartoons.
We need to ban the use of “say hello to my little friend” references in, like, everything. Forever.
