Devin C. a year agoCumberbach and Freeman are awesome, as were Jeremy Brett and Basil Rathbone. Sherlock Holmes is the single most played character in the history of film. Maybe the CBS series won’t be that great; I’m not going to judge on the basis of a few minutes’ preview. The canon’s big enough, and the characters strong enough, to support another interpretation. I’ll give it a chance.

silverhellion a year agoWhy can’t CBS just go for a deal with BBC and broadcast the amazing show that BBC already has on their channel. That way people who don’t have cable of any kind can enjoy Sherlock as it already is. I’ll be so pissed if this show is somehow renewed for another season. I bet if I never watched Sherlock with Cumberbatch and Freeman before, I’d be all for this show; but with the wonderful knowledge of the BBC creation, I already hate CBS’ version.
