jameslas 11 months agoThey’re so stunning, but at the same time troubling to me. Maybe I’m wrong, but it appears they’re all based on photographs. It’s a insanely high degree of talent, no question, but a painting of a picture of a real life scene just seems off to me, like it’s synthetic rather than organic. Beautiful technique, but can one really say “Such realistic paintings of photographs”?
