I have a few friends that are Mormons, some are still with it but most left when they were old enough. They all have kinda made the same statement “Romney has a lot of influence from his church, but it is kept very low key.” Now relatives that were around during Kennedy’s campaign stated “the US would become catholic if you vote for Kennedy!” Seems like religion will always be used against you.
