lets be honest do you really need 93,000 apps on your phone let alone 20,000 and a majority of those apps as free trials, or pointless ones, the apps argument should be obsolete

But will it make dinner for me?

1. Android = Cheaper.
2. Android = Open source environment (not locked into certain, limited apps)
3. Android = Better market (not as many apps yet, but the market isn’t restricted by Apple; thus, we get the truly innovative apps long before iPhone users do…see barcode scanners, free turn-by-turn voice navigation, complete voice commands, total Google integration, and a slew of other kickass apps). The only thing I envy about the iPhone is multi-touch. Google wins.

I think the problem here is paying over $2-3k to have a phone for 2 years. Want to revolutionize the smartphone industry? Cut the consumers’ bills by at least half. None of what is offered (keeping us connected, gps, storage) is worth that much.

Let’s see… Some A-GPS devices lack standalone GPS capability. Nexus One lists only Cell tower and Wi-Fi positioning. Nexus One’s native google apps has no multi-touch. Last year’s Android cannot be upgrade to this year’s software.

Why will nothing in the near future be an iPhone killer? The sheer number of apps. Most iPhone users will not leave the device for Android because it would mean losing some of the functionality of the phone.

Man I freakin’ want a Google phone.
