turtlefeed 9 months agoAlternatively, you can accept that the school system makes life difficult for teachers who somehow manage to teach anyway. By all means, teach your students to the best of your abilities. Care about them even when they behave poorly. I wasn’t particularly impressed by the Career Confidential this post references, but I’m not sure this position is any better. There are serious problems with our education system. Let’s not pretend that they don’t exist by saying “work harder” to someone who’s struggling. Let’s not discourage your colleagues who want to change things.
